NL Aan het sanatorium Baronne Lucie Lambert, te midden van een dennenbos, bevindt zich een uniek zaalkerkje met een ongewone bijna tot de grond reikende zachtgolvende bedaking. Het nisvormig dakgebinte is hemelsblauw geschilderd. Het kerkje refereert aan ingetogen romaanse voorbeelden. De steeds terugkomende fries en het rondbogig drielichtvenster zorgen voor een mooie reliëfwerking. Jos Leyssens van het architectenbureau Licence to Build kocht de kapel en geeft uitleg over de renovatieplannen.

FR Le sanatorium Baronne Lucie Lambert, niché au cœur d’une forêt de pins, possède une chapelle exceptionnelle dont la toiture inhabituelle, en courbe douce, descend pratiquement jusqu’au sol. La charpente du toit, à alvéoles, est peinte en bleu ciel. La chapelle renvoie à d’autres exemples discrètement romans. La frise omniprésente et la fenêtre à trois vantaux et arc en plein cintre apportent un joli jeu de reliefs. Jos Leyssens du bureau d’architectes Licence to Build a racheté la chapelle et expliquera les projets de rénovation.

EN At the Baronne Lucie Lambert sanatorium, in the middle of a pine forest, lies a unique aisleless church with an unusual, softly undulating roof that almost reaches down to the ground. The niche-shaped roof truss is painted in sky blue. The small church is a reference to subdued Romanesque examples, with the recurring frieze and the round arched three-light window creating a beautiful relief effect. Jos Leyssens of architectural firm Licence to Build purchased the chapel and talks about the renovation plans.
