DESCRIPTION:Church: Joseph Smolderen1937/2018Repurposing: OSK-ARNL – In 2016 kwam er een einde aan de parochie van Scheut en zo kwam de allereerste tienerschool in de voormalige Sint-Vincentiuskerk. OSK-AR architecten maakten de plannen en kozen voor een combinatie van renovatie\, herbestemming en nieuwbouw. In het voormalige kerkschip is er nu een sport- en polyvalente zaal. De open ruimte onder de kerk is omgevormd tot tienerplatform met een muziekbox en opnamestudio\, leskeuken en ateliers. De nieuwbouw nestelt zich in een U-vorm rond het kerkgebouw\, zo wordt er een buitenspeelruimte gevormd.Gids: arch. Les architectes OSK-AR ont opté pour une combinaison de rénovation\, transformation et construction neuve. L’ancienne nef accueille à présent une salle de sport polyvalente. L’espace ouvert en sous-sol a été aménagé pour les jeunes\, avec une petite salle de concert\, un studio d’enregistrement\, une cuisine professionnelle et des ateliers. L’aile neuve se développe en U autour de l’église existante\, créant par la même occasion un espace de jeux extérieur.Guide: arch. OSK-AR architects made the plans and opted for a combination of renovation\, repurposing\, and new build. The former nave is now home to a sports and multipurpose room. The open space under the church has been transformed into a teenage platform with music box and recording studio\, class kitchen and workshops. The new building nestles in a U-shape around the church building\, thus forming an outdoor play area.Guide: arch.
