NL – Deze postmodernistische school van 1989 met op de hoek een opmerkelijke portiek, integreert zich perfect in de architecturale context van Sint Gillis en is representatief voor de architectuur trend van eind jaren 1980. De grote hal verrast door monumentaliteit, de ruimtelijke ontdekkingen, de wisselende lichtinval, door kleur en textuur, vanaf het kruispunt tot in het hart van het gebouw. Het is opvallend hoe deze geëngageerde architectuur volledig ten dienste staat van de gebruiker van het gebouw.

FR – Cette école de style postmoderne, caractérisée par son porche d’entrée en coin, est pleinement représentative de l’architecture de la fin des années ’80, tout en s’intégrant parfaitement dans l’identité architecturale de Saint-Gilles. Sur le parcours d’entrée qui mène depuis le carrefour jusqu’au cœur du bâtiment, le vaste hall crée la surprise par sa monumentalité, des dévoilements spatiaux et des jeux de lumière, couleurs et textures. De manière remarquable, cette architecture s’engage à être au service de ses usagers.

EN – This postmodernist school built in 1989 with a remarkable porch on the corner, perfectly integrates into the architectural context of Saint Gillis and is representative of the architecture trend of the late 1980s. The large hall surprises by its monumentality, spatial discoveries, changing light, colour and texture, from the crossroads to the heart of the building. It is striking how this committed architecture is fully at the service of the user of the building.
